A unique, two-week course especially designed for the traveler to Italy. This course offers a number of thematic lessons each focusing on a distinct situation that a traveler to Italy is likely to encounter. Emphasizing listening comprehension and speaking more than grammar, it aims to develop accurate self-expression in practical, real-life situations. The course is full-immersion but is set in a less intensive, relaxed atmosphere and is specifically designed for adults with diverse backgrounds who are beginning students of Italian. Upon completion, students will be able to travel confidently throughout Italy, capable of handling successfully in Italian virtually any touristic encounter. Students are automatically enrolled in our five evening courses of Italian Literature and Culture.

Students have the option to intensify their language studies with either private or semi-private tutorials. The added lessons would supplement your language course with an additional 1 to 5 hours per week of private lessons. They are intended to allow a studentto work closely with a teacher as the language course progresses. The tutorials for the Super-Intensive option are discounted if purchased in advance, with the amount of discount depending upon the number of hours purchased.

A unique, two-week course specially created for very advanced students of Italian and for teachers of Italian as a foreign language. Emphasis is on analysis of stylistic elements of the language and on correct use of register and tone. Special attention is given to advanced written expression and to phonetics. Modern fiction and non-fiction texts are also employed, including newspaper and magazine articles as well as art and film reviews, to familiarize students with idiomatic expressions. Students are automatically enrolled in our five evening courses of Italian Literature and Culture.

Grado is often described as a "Children's Paradise" and for good reason. To begin with, the island is very safe and, moreover, cars are forbidden in both the Old Town and in most of the shopping district. The beaches, with their fine sand and gentle slopes, are ideal for children. For children accompanied by a family member, Scuola Insieme offers our unique Italian for Children™ language class.

Formal language instruction is supplemented with outdoor activities, songs, roll-playing, and other lively language-learning games. Groups of children are welcome. Please inquire about a personalized curriculum and about the cost of tuition.

An intensive, two-week course specially designed for the business person who already has a solid foundation in Italian. The course focuses on two areas: oral expression in a commercial setting (including communication in meetings, in negotiation, over the telephone and in social settings) and on commercial written expression (including all aspects of Italian business correspondence). Special attention is given to the development of commercial vocabulary.
