Traditional Italian Pottery (for an additional fee)
A weekly Italian Pottery class is offered to all students for a separate
fee of Euros 30 per meeting. No previous experience with pottery is
necessary. Our potter, Fernanda de Zorzi, a local artisan with 20 years
of experience in pottery-making, is well known throughout the region. Her
work, which includes reproductions of fine Etruscan, Roman, medieval, and
Renaissance works, has been exhibited throughout Italy and is recognized
and highly valued all over Europe. This class meets once per week to
learn about and to make various objects, including vases, bowls, plates,
tiles, or cups. Ms. De Zorzi is an inspiring teacher who will guide you
to elaborate on your own creativity. The course fee includes clay,
glazes, and firing. The pottery lessons last two to three hours each and
are offered once per week throughout the summer, however, a minimum
enrollment may be required for the class to be offered in any given week.
A minimum registration of two classes is required.
Since there is a
maximum enrollment of ten students per lesson, pre-registration is
advised.
