Huddersfield Carousel bar ‘will pay taxi fare’ to go out in the evening
Carousel has launched a new scheme allowing customers to travel “free” on a night out in Huddersfield.
The travel initiative allows patrons to collect arcade tokens equivalent in value to the amount they paid to go to the bar on Friday and Saturday nights. So while you still have to pay for transportation, the program aims to cut costs in another way.
Anyone can redeem their ticket for arcade tokens, whether you take a taxi, train or bus, as long as you keep your receipt.

Find in Crossing Church Street, the venue includes a bar, restaurant and outdoor terrace, as well as an arcade with nostalgic games.Open seven days a week from 11:30 am until late, the bar serves a wide range of cocktails, beers, wines and spirits, as well as a menu inspired by street food. The venue also hosts live DJs on the weekends.
David Nejrup, Chief Operating Officer, said: “Since launching in January, we have loved being part of Huddersfield’s incredible nightlife, having received fantastic feedback and seeing many customers return again and again. We are always looking for ways to give back to our customers; whether that’s through our midweek lunch offer or by extending our cocktail offer to 2 for £10 every day.
“We are really proud to launch our Trade Your Travel initiative, giving our customers free access to Carousel every Friday and Saturday. It’s brand new and exciting, something we’ve never done before, but we hope this will go a way to help our customers defray the cost of a night out in Huddersfield.
