You Can Get Into These 5 Canadian Universities Without IELTS
Are you out of school and planning to study abroad? Did you know that you can apply to a number of prestigious Canadian universities without IELTS in 2022?
There is no denying that Canada is a popular choice for international students to broaden their horizons. The 450,000 study permits granted last year testify to its success and appeal as a study destination.
For years, IELTS has been a popular English proficiency test required by universities as proof that a student can cope with the academic writing and teaching material of an English-speaking environment. However, it has become increasingly unpopular among international students from English-speaking backgrounds.
This includes factors such as its high fees and short validity period. Several Canadian universities, however, have found more feasible alternatives for measuring an applicant’s English proficiency, either waiving it or offering alternative programs for them to demonstrate their English proficiency.
Here are the universities in Canada that do not require IELTS in 2022:
1. Queen’s University
2. Concordia University
3. McGill University
4. University of Ottawa
5. University of Toronto
6. University of Waterloo— ‘Tunde Omotoye (@TundeTASH) June 4, 2022
That being said, you can apply for undergraduate programs at these five Canadian universities without IELTS.
